What is the specific design?
LoafNest does not have a regular bottom and lid structure of typical dutch ovens.
LoafNest has two halves.
Top is a half and the bottom is another half. Both have uniform thickness through out and the bottom of the bottom is the thickest part.
Why two halves? What makes it better?
Because, there sits the silicone liner between the two halves! That is one thing.
The walls of the Cast iron is in the vicinity of the bread dough -- in the shape of the bread dough. That makes the dough receive uniform heat all around.
